Järkvissle hardrock lithium – advanced mineral exploration
If you’re advancing a hard-rock lithium project in the Nordics, you know how hard it is to turn promising pegmatites into a clear technical story that investors and regulators can trust—especially when you’re working in sensitive environments with high expectations on permitting and ESG. The Järkvissle hardrock lithium project in Sweden is one of the few advanced-stage LCT-pegmatite lithium properties in the country, operated by Asera Mining. From 2023 onward, Gosselin Mining has supported advanced exploration work to build a reliable geological understanding and high-quality drillcore dataset for future study stages.

Client & context
Asera Mining is progressing the Järkvissle LCT-pegmatite property in Sweden through advanced exploration drilling. The project targets hard-rock lithium mineralisation that could supply the growing European battery value chain.
To move confidently toward resource estimation and future technical studies, the client needed independent expertise in core logging, sampling and data management, combined with a practical approach to field work and environmental constraints.
Challenge
At Järkvissle, the client faced several key challenges:
- Converting drilling and field observations into a consistent, decision-ready picture of the hardrock lithium pegmatites.
- Making sure drillcore logging and sampling procedures produced representative, traceable data suitable for future resource estimation and technical reporting.
- Managing environmental and community expectations while carrying out drilling in a sensitive Nordic setting.
In short: they needed to scale up exploration without compromising data quality or environmental performance.
Our approach
Gosselin Mining worked alongside the client’s team to design and implement a robust, field-ready approach to the drilling campaign:
- Expert drillcore logging and sampling
We provided hands-on geological drillcore logging and guided the sampling process to ensure that the recorded lithology, structures and mineralisation could be used reliably for later modelling and resource work. - Structured data and geospatial support
We applied modern geospatial tools and structured workflows so that locations, intervals and geological observations could be mapped, visualised and checked consistently as the drilling progressed. - Environmentally conscious drilling practices
Working with the client and environmental specialists, we helped shape drilling and site practices that reduced disturbance and aligned with local expectations for responsible exploration. - Close collaboration with the client
Decisions on sampling, priorities and next steps were made in close dialogue with Asera Mining, keeping the work aligned with their exploration strategy and timelines.
Results & value for the client
Through this collaboration, the Järkvissle project gained:
- A consistent, well-documented drillcore and sampling dataset that can support future resource estimation and technical studies.
- Clear geological insight into the hardrock lithium mineralisation, helping the client plan follow-up drilling and next stages of work.
- Timely deliverables that matched the time-sensitive nature of exploration—keeping the project on schedule without sacrificing data quality.
- A strong working relationship between Gosselin Mining and Asera Mining, built on open communication and shared project objectives.
The project demonstrates how independent geological support can add value in advanced exploration: you get better data, clearer decisions and a smoother path toward future studies and permitting.
