Clérac chamotte clay quarry consulting
Long-range mine planning and mine sequencing of extraction and backfilling of the life of mine at "Bois des Rentes" Chamotte Clay Quarry.

Summary
The main producer of kaolin clays in France is Imerys Refractories (IRM, formerly AGS Minéraux), which operates over twenty quarries with an annual production of approximately 1.5 Million tonnes. The main production center is situated at Clérac in Charente-Maritime, where a mineral processing plant fed by approximately eight active quarries is located, for an annual production of 400 to 495 thousand tonnnes. Part of the production is exported directly in the form of chamotte (calcined clays), mainly for the production of refractory products. "Bois des Rentes" is the largest open pit clay quarry of all the sites in the Clérac egion.
